Alarna Cantatore
I’m Alarna and I am part of the Student Success Team at JCU. I have a great passion for helping students achieve success at university. I am based in Townsville on the Bebegu Yumba campus and provide support to the Bachelor of Nursing Science and Midwifery students within the Collage of Healthcare Science. Before making the move to tertiary education in 2022, I spent many years in the corporate world using my Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting and Management. After studying at JCU and working in the corporate sector, I feel I have a greater understanding of the challenges and support required to help students on their learning journey. I love meeting new faces and I am excited to support and help you engage with your studies at JCU, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Chelsea Reynolds
I’m Chelsea from the Student Success Team at James Cook ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ. I’m based in Townsville on the Bebegu Yumba campus where I support students in the College of Healthcare Science. I completed my Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at JCU Townsville at the end of 2021 and have been working in the Student Success Team ever since. I am currently studying the Master of Guidance and Counselling, also through JCU, and understand the struggles many students face with studying, family and working whilst also finding time for other commitments. I believe all students can achieve their goals and succeed in their studies and I am here to help you do it. So, if you are looking for support in your studies, please reach out!
Ioana Bowden
My name is Ioana Bowden, and I am part of the Student Success team at James Cook ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ. I have a bachelor’s degree in science, as well as Master and PhD degrees, I understand the challenges of balancing study, work, and family life. Also, with English as a second language, I am aware of the additional difficulties faced by international students. I have extensive experience in teaching across multiple Colleges at JCU which provided me the opportunity to work with students from a wide range of backgrounds. This also served to develop my interest in offering guidance and support to students, with a focus on wellbeing and success. I look forward to assisting you throughout your student journey, by providing access to resources and services and to help you complete your studies successfully. My current focus is Post Graduate support.
